AVI-Player with QB/AK-LIB in SVGA
#1
Hi@All

I wrote an AVI-Player with QB/AK-Lib that runs in SVGA.
I would integrate it later in the AK-LIB v1.6.
Therefore I'm search few people who testing it.

The Player can play following Colordepth and Codecs:
- 4 Bit uncompressed
- 8 Bit uncompressed
- RGB555 uncompressed
- RGB24 uncompressed
- MRLE4 compressed
- MRLE8 compressed
- (Cinepak("CVID"), disabled, because there is no 100% function)

Sound is not available because it's only a graphical test.

Things to look at test:
- Does the Video showed correct?
- Graphical Errors? (contortions, missing Pixels....)
- Speed (see Closing Words)
- Errormessages like "Grafikmodus &H112 nicht verfügbar"?

Hints:
- Under WIN, start the Player only in fullscreen, otherwise you get an Error like this: "Keine VESA-Karte erkannt"

The Player is available as an EXE-File to download here:
http://www.iconsoft.de/temp/akavi.exe (145Kb)

To play an AVI, type this in your Command-Line:

Code:
akavi.exe example.avi

When starting the Player, the Resolution switch to 640x480x16,7Mc and play the AVI automatically.

For testing you can use follow example-AVI (with thanks to E-P-S):

Closing Words:
The Player is not yet speedoptimized. But when it later released then the Player is faster through ASM.

greets&thanks

A.K.
