Well, as I stated before, the internal layout for the key matrices varies from one model to another. I think that's wise to include the option to redefine the keys. C'mon, it isn't
THAT hard...

I hate the game port input model... my steering wheel & pedals combo puts both pedals onto the Y axis so that pressing both at the same time results in a 0... then I can't do power brakes in racing games.
But I didn't mean to use DX from QB... that's just a dumb idea.
