I was experimenting with colouring my hand drawings with The GIMP, and I came up with something I thought be cool to make my new avatar:

(You may need to reset you catch if you still see my old one..)
The BG is transparent,. dunno how that will look on darker themes,.
***Rattrapmax6 goes try a darker theme...

Gif supports transparency.
Png has an alpha channel that is viewable in linux, but afaik not in windows.

It's viewable in windows of course... Just not in Internet Explorer.

1) Get an editor like The GIMP..
2) Paste as New your image into the editor (Or how ever this works on other editors)
3) Make sure the image has an Alpha channel
4) Clear out the regions you want transparent, and save it as PNG or GIF....
PNG can also do Translusent, or semi transparent, but as posted above, most browsers don't suport it... As far as I've seen, FireFox is one of the only ones that can.. =P

It's not transparent. But it looks nice none-the-less. I'd recomend shrinking it down a bit. Hmm... maybe it's time I switch my avatar. I chose that one when I first joined. I just looked up avatar, and there was this site that had a ton of them. I think I'll look through them, since I can't draw any myself.

Oops... XD ... I though IE could see full transparency in PNGs? Oh well,. looks like the original on other browsers..
