The Importance of Being Ernest
#1
Has anyone here ever seen The Importance of Being Ernest (A 19th century British comedic play by Oscar Wilde)?
My bro just acted in that.

It's cool. Smile

I think I saw part of it... wasn't it where the one guy had multiple identities, one called Ernest, and then was going to marry a girl and ran into problems etc. etc.? I think I saw a TV version of it once.

I've read it. Nice story... Well, everything that mr. Wilde wrote is nice, anyways. He was a great writer.

Ernest is the name of the actor, in the film at least. He died.

It is "Ernest". It is some kind of game, 'cause it is pronounced like "earnest". Mr Wilde loved those tricks.

It's a play on words. Definition of earnest is "serious and intense; not joking", which is kind of the opposite of what Earnest was.
