Assuming I do not want to use all the Windows Fonts, Texboxes, Buttons etc what files can I safely delete once FBIde 0.4.4 is installed. I only want to compile simple QB code.

Not sure there dude, as FBIDE is designed for FreeBASIC. If it works then might want to leave things as is.

Trouble is the last version (1.4 ??) I have unzips to 1500+ files of around 30Mb I am sure I do not need them all just to compile my simple code.

Gordon:
Probably you have the version of FBIde that comes bundled with FB.

The 30Mb+ of HD are not FBIDE's fault. FBIDE is just a 3,7 MB exe and a few supporting files, hardly 5Mb in total. Freebasic comes with a ton of files to support external libraries. You can erase selectively some files in the .bi and .lib folders if you do not use the windows API or OpenGL or GTK or whatever.

The freebasic installer allows to select which libraries to install, you should have unchecked what you did'nt need....

Thanks -- also for all your hard work. I will download the latest and investigate.
