Looks like SMF 1.0.5 had a nice little SQL injection vulnerability that someone used on the TBN forum before I was able to upgrade it. Unluckily for the hacker-wanabe, I have TBN backed up seven ways till Sunday, so there was no real damage done. The forum's been upgraded now to stop any further attempts at this llama hack. Anyone using SMF 1.0.5: Upgrade NOW...this is the first (and likely only that you'll ever see) serious SMF vulnerability and it needs to be addressed immediately, if not sooner.

Nathan,
I don't know where the banana line comes from, I never heard it before. The one that I know from many years ago is: "Close ... but no cigar".
Years ago, there was a famous radio announcer called Mel Allen who did most of the New York Yankee games. One of the sponsors was Whie Owl cigars. When someone hit a home run or made a great play, Mel Allen would say: "Give that man a White Owl!" Or, he would say: "Close, but no cigar."
I'm assuming that the banana line is an upgrade of this old saying.

It looks like that
I guess it's no longer allowed to sponsor cigarettes in a radio broadcast. Something to remember, then!
(I remember those tobacco ads in the radio when I was a child
Ah, memories!)

I directly link the line to some sort of behavioural (?) studies, trying
to measure the intelligence of monkey's by having them do something
to get a banana...

Have you all gone bananas?
Trivia question: What well known comedian, actor, director was the first to use the term "bananas" to mean nuts or crazy?

I was suspicious on that. I mean, I didn't know, but it sounded quite Woody-Allen-esque.
