mp3 player car adapter... ?
#1
i wanna know if this is plausable:

i have an mp3 player called Creative FM TX... it has no current adapter for the car. however, i did notice that in order to connect it to a computer, you remove half of the MP3 player (which simply holds the battery) and expose a USB penis thing. well i think i asked a few weeks ago if there is a car power adapter with only a USB port on it, and someone linked me to exactly that.

is it possible that i can do the following?

- connect a 1-in-3 car adapter (plug it into your car and it becomes 3 more open things (im gonna call them ports from now on))
- connect this previously described USB adapter to one of the three ports.
- connect the ipod-brand power car adapter from an open port to the following just-now-mentioned FM transmittor:
- connect the newly aforementioned FM transmittor to the mp3 player

if i am correct, all you need to buy is the FM transmitter, its sold-separately power car adapter, an MP3 player, the 3-in-1 thing, and a USB car adapter, and you have a fully functioning MP3 player that plays on your car radio and never dies (unless your car battery is SHYTE)

will tghis work??

well instead of getting all that stuff, you could just a tape that has a stereo plug that goes into your mp3/cd/whatever player. heres one http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop...cts_id=123

yes, thats a good substitution for the FM transmitter.... as long as your car has a tape deck.

however, most modern cars dont. not to mention, this provides no solution to unlimited power supply for the MP3 player.

My Jeep has a tape deck and no radio.... Work that one out....

Anyway,. what you have sounds like it will work,.

btw, the ports are called DC 12-Volt Jacks,.. or Lighter Jacks,. If you would like to know...

I don't understand your post very well, Sephy Boy, but I don't think that'll work. a) the MP3 player probably won't work with raw 12 VDC from your car (the USB signal in your computer probably is combined with a buttload of other stuff to make the MP3 player work without a battery), and b) WTF is this talk about an FM transmitter? Do you mean receiver?

He doesn't plan to use the raw power,. They have adapters:

And a FM Transmitter hooks into the MP3 player like headphones and transmits a signal to the cars radio on a selected frequency...
