Sam and Max: The Freelance Police
#1
This title shocked me quite a bit, having played it's classic predecessor. Examining the trailer, it's in 3d, and not blow-your-mind-away quality, but it doesnt look too bad. Either way, i hope it's half as good as "hit the road" was...

Quote:Sam: Look, Little buddy! We're in 3d now!
Max: Meh.. it's been done.

LOL

That's comedy!
Peace cannot be obtained without war. Why? If there is already peace, it is unnecessary for war. If there is no peace, there is already war."

I think some developers need to get their collective heads out of their asses with regards to 3d and nifty catchphrases -- for christs sake, this is a game ABOUT A CARTOON! There is absolutely no reason on earth to make this game in 3d except that they're either too lazy to make another 2d version of SCUMM, or they're too ignorant to see that they shouldn't be entering the 3d arms race with that little water pistol of a 3d engine they have.

Personally, I've always hoped for one last 2d cartoon adventure game at some insane resolution (1024x768 would suffice) with completely hand drawn graphics, and effects to take advantage of that. The last 2d adventure games I've seen were either really cruddy looking, or in such a low resolution anything could pass for good looking depending on who you ask.
