Font settings.

Hi there Smile

Are there any commands to change and set a font to be used / multiple fonts. And also for getting the current font width and height?

Cheers and all the best,
Clyde.

Not in FbGfxLib (that I know of), Yagl has some and some other libraries do as well...

Ok ta, I just wondered what the width and height of the default font that was being used was. As Locate works on (XRES/FONTW) (YRES/FONTH) and unsure what it was set at.

Also this means that only 'what ever the default is', can only be used. Would be pretty nice to be able to use multiple fonts without the need for an external dll.

Cheers for the info,
Clyde.

For compatibility with the old SCREEN modes the fonts are 8x8, 8x14 and 8x16.

In hi-res modes you can switch from one font to the other using WIDTH ,x The right x values can be found in the SCREEN keyword help (Wiki or FBIde).
You can use only one size of font at a time with the standard GfxLib's print, but there is a hint in gfxlib.txt on how to use the internal fonts with your own routines.
