haha, best i got was 98 on a 1.2 gig, that was my first good computer... fucking fat32 + drivespace killed it eventually i reckon...

I think in order to start the CD ROM and have Windows 95 recognize it, I need to MSCDEX it prior to boot... The problem is finding a driver to run it...

http://johnson.tmfc.net/freedos/qcdrom.html will probably work unless you've got a really weird CD-ROM drive.

Many ISA/VLB IDE controllers don't have ATAPI support, so you may have to use a sound card with an IDE port for the CD-ROM controller.

That's exactly how it's set up. It's also an ESS688 PnP ISA Audiodrive (100% SB Compatible, the way I like it).

It's got "secondary IDE" on it where the CD ROM is hooked up. (Nothing abnormal about it, it's ATAPI standard...

Something else to note, I have discovered the version of Windows 95 I torrented is OSR1... Sad
