Quote:heh, I don't feel any such attraction. I prefer places with large enough bodies of water that when you go sailing, you lose sight of shore.
Which reminds me...I should upgrade my sailing classification this summer.
Ever gone boating on Lac La Ronge? Beautiful! Note, I haven't actually gone boating there... we do our boating farther up north, at Besnard Lake. The mosquitos... good lord the mosquitos!
You sail, eh? I had a friend like that. Halfway through the school year she quit and move to BC to serve aboard her ship, the Pacific Swift... last I heard, she was managing a restaurant.

No, I have only had the chance to sail the lakes around here.
Yeah, I have my White Sails III, but want to upgrade to Bronze Sails V. Eventually I want my Gold Sails and a Master Mairiners Certificate.
hrm, awefully young to run off and join the merchant marines. I mean, not unless you're hanging around with 20 year olds, heh.

Another sailor! I finished my Silver VI the other summer, but since I'm a terrible swimmer (apparently you need to be a good swimmer to go into Instructors, and you need Instructors to go into Gold), I probably won't be doing Gold.

Yeah, I did my White Sails about 12 years ago. I should really redo them.
