'Real' song... Sort of

Thanks for the comments, all. Have two new songs written-- Well, one full song and one short 'intro' song. These three songs make up a little demo I'm sending around town, hoping to maybe get a typical little garage band going to play this kinda stuff...
Anyway, here are the links:

I'm most proud of Lifeless; it was written in about 10-15 minutes, but took about 45 minutes to record because I just can't play that fast most of the time. :lol: Double Barrelled I feel to be the most rushed, but people seem to like it. Ah, well. I probably don't care for it much because it's just a typical piss-easy-to-play drop-d 'chugga chugga' kinda song. Aaaanyway, enjoy, I suppose.

Oh, also, 'Whale' was the song I first posted. I've taken down the first version to save space on my account; this new version is essentially the same with some changes near the end and slightly different playing.

Thanks, I was definately going for that cheesy 80s thrash metal vibe. As for my drum samples, I use several different samples tweaked and layered over eachother. The kick drum is a combination of a kick stolen from a Mnemic song, and an altered bass drum sample taken from a NiN song. The snare is mostly a slightly altered sample taken from a drum intro to a Testament song, with a quiet sample layered underneath for ambience which was taken from yet another NiN song. The hihats and such, I honestly can't remember where I got them...

Hmm...the intro was sweet. the other two were great at first, but they sort of got repetitive. Other than that they were good.

Yep, repetative indeed... Which is why I'm searching for a lead guitarist and singer.

EDIT: New song... much calmer than the rest, almost a ballad.
