Sadly I don't have an ATI card to enjoy the joke.

I wouldn't have thought that necessary... oh well. What with nVidia releasing two crappy cards in a row and trying to cheat the 3dmark2k3 bench, it's been rather amusing... these particular chops are more just funny in the context of replacing movie screens with new captions.

There were some more cold-hearted ones that actually used screens of bad FX drivers dropping textures and stuff on their own tech demos... lol.

Lest we forget ATI in an attempt to "optimize" its drivers for Quake 3 games it bypassed the detail sliders to a lower quality in Q3A. And Nvidia is doing with the FX what almost every new technology has done with it. Starts slow then makes a Kick@$$ cars like with the GF2-Ultra, GF3, and GF4.
o, let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the King of the Potato People and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you are completely sane?! -A.J. Rimmer

Yes, of course the famous Quake/Quack scandal. And that's part of the reason ATI fanboys get such a kick out of this whole mess, since they went through it all a couple years back.

UQB: If you're still using a GF4, then they're vrey stable... but the Catalysts are like a rock on the 9700pro. ATI has really picked up the slack on drivers and support.

I haven't seen the newest Nvidia or ATI cards. The ATI all in wonder cards rock... even the old ones! and of course the Ge-Force 2, 3, 4 cards are great to!

you shouldnt hate nvidia just because they're the establishment. games and technology are built around their cards and drivers, and they are definately solid cards. ati's got some good stuff, but you can never go wrong with nvidia's quality and support.

True. The old drivers support of ATI was horrible, and they have substancially improved in that cathegory. And with just that little detail, ATI can stand better against nVidia. That means:

Competence = Better hardware = Lower prices = Satisfied user. (me) Tongue

(anyone still remembers the almost-ludicrous price of the Annihilator Pro?)
