New demo available, not much changed from the last, I recoded for YAGL and added some animation. Please post an updated FPS report and any comments, thanks ^^

Version 1.5 Yagl, no sound: 61 FPS consistant.

Much better than the SDL version..

60FPS (VSynch I guess)
I like the semi transparent trees, very nice effect.

Its pretty simple really, I just used solid text and scrolled it up the screen, and in the foreground I had a series of transparent lines to simulate the text fading in and out. I am at work right now but if you still want it I can post the code when I get home. =)

you guys should turn your ogl vsync off. I got 1025 fps.

athlon 64bit 3700+
evga geforce 6600gt
1 gb ddr3200
windows xp pro

Yeah, I took it off and got 380FPS, but then the game runs stupidly fast. The motion doesn't seem to be time-based and you fly all over the place.

Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> 3D -> Select OpenGL -> Click on 'Custom' -> Slide the 'Wait for vertical sync' bar to 'Always off'.

This is how I do it for my ATi Radeon, no doubt it's different for each card (the 3D Tab had an ATi icon on it so it's probably card/brand-specific).
