tbbw, regarding your sig, where on his site did you find that? and what's with the sudden influx of maddox?

i did not edit that pic that's why it says "maddox"
and i found it this site and thought "wow that wuld rly be nice to have as a sig"

I played and LOVED the first one for QB, I remember playing it for days =P and I think it is one of the best QB games EVER. But a few things I noticed in the FB version, seems that the magician is casting spells almost every turn (rather in the QB version it was once every several turns) so as a result he is setting fire to your kindom every couple of turns. Another thing twice while playing everyone in my kindom left all at once, for example I was gaining population steadily and out of nowhere they all left. Also not sure if this one is true its been a while since the first one but it seems that disasters are more frequent. It was hard enough the first time, these things make it almost impossible =)

Hell yeah! Getting ready to try it for the first time... ever! The QB version wouldn't run on any of my pcs. :lol:

I like the maddox fake something awful page, he gets it spot on ("Hentais for losers..... unless its from J-List!", and reprinting Lowtaxs original promise that he'd never charge for the site or have adverts!)

Regarding the game, looks good, but i'm still scratching my head on what exactly to do.

For those of you who are not sure how to get started, best thing to do is read the 'Histories' section in the game, and take a look at the game guide Terry C did for VPlanet. Although it's not 100% accurate it gives some good hints and tips on how get going: http://www.vplanetmag.com/guide17.shtml

I kinda thought that the events requency had gone up too, but thought I must have just got unlucky with the dice rolls. I haven't changed any calculations so I guess it must be to do with differences between QB and FBs random number generator. Hmm, I'll do some tests.

I've had a proper go with it, and it does seem too difficult (unless i'm missing something), and the skill modes don't seem to change anything. I also noticed that when you start a new game, things aren't being cleared up, for instance people won't loan you money if you had some in a prior game.

Great game though i think if it was a little easier i'd like it a lot more.
