Nek, going "You're too good for this place" is a great way to set yourself up for a cruel joke -- stick around for a few months until you understand the assinine politics, get upset that there are assinine politics, leave.

It doesn't matter what community you're in, or who that community is made up of. Whether it's kids, or young adults, or old adults, whether you're talking about idiots, regular people, or a group whose hobbies requrie them to be some of the most intelligent folks in the world, whether it's homogenous in terms of gender, geographical location, or race. Eventually human nature catches up to us. The only time there isn't a problem with politics is when we haven't been around long enough to recognise them.

Interesting thing, most MMORPGs actually have a clause in there saying "I understand that this isn't a game, but a portal to a parallel universe. a complex scheme to help rid our home dimension of giant rats and level 50 dragons.". I didn't even realize that until I started reading these things.

I'd like to publicly apologize to Sumo Jo for the insinuation that he was abusing power and showing favouritism. After talking about the issue with him, all the facts are in the open and so everything makes sense now. It's easy for me to be dissuaded by the rantings of a lunatic, especially when it's about the one thing I detest more than everything else: tyranny. So again, I'm sorry for the insinuation.
