and help in any way i could!
Do you have any site building skills? I could learn PHP and get a few people together, and maybe we could build a site.

www.Freebasicnews.net would all of the above that I posted and more, hopefully. It would take a bit of work, but we have a really strong community and they'd help out (I hope...). Tongue

I have no money so if the site got too popular, I'd probably have to put ads somewhere. On the bottom/sides or something. A donation box would help if not up in everyone's face (people hate that), but not too much most of the time.

You guys have me really motivated...I might just go ahead and register the domain myself.

EDIT: Registered...You guys are great. This will be fun.

If you need hosting, I might be able to provide it. I've got a ton of space on my server, and a pretty hefty amount of bandwidth.

You could also ask Plasma -- he hosts a lot of QB / FB sites on his Phat Code server free of charge.

You should try to keep the site ad-free if you can help it.

Well the site's up. Hosting's all set up. Now I just have to go in paint shop pro and design how I want the site to look.

I like VonGodric's Style for the new FBide site. I think I'll try something similar to that first, style wise at least. Get the site going, then work on a magazine for it.

Great news!

A third mag launched? If both PCOPY and this Freebasicnews.net mag end up succeeding, this community might actually come to life again. Smile

If you want more information, some of which I hope will surprise you (and possibly the lack of QB support on the site disappointing you), go to this thread:
