If anyone here likes historical fiction, allow me to shamelessly plug my brother's newly-published book, The Ears of a Dog, by E. I. Vernon. The backdrop is the Suez crisis of 1956 (2006 is the 50th anniversary). I just finished reading it, and I like it.

Actually, he self-published - that is, a company printed the book for him, but he edited it and paid for the printing himself. So far he's sold over 100 copies (in the first couple of weeks).
