I enjoyed the power ones. "Everytime I turn off my lamp my computer stops working" and it turns out she was flipping the switch on the power strip :laughing:

Him: "But they made windows with QBasic."
I also don't think the 'Me' character is very well informed. He's prejudiced description of QBasic is self-embarrasing. As usual Qbasic is considered a toy, instead of the powerful tool that it really is. I think that many scientists are over the age of eight. At least I am!
The Two of them are definitely engaging in computer stupidity, no doubt about it.

Depends on which QBasic you're talking about... I would be inclined to agree with him if he were talking about the interpreted version of QBasic.

Isnt QBasic always interpreted?
Nathan made a post about it some time ago, and iirc qbasic is a stripped down version of quickbasic w/o compilation capability. Or something, Im sure nathan can quote himself here

I haven't posted in this thread yet? Strange. Anywho, great site. Found it almost funny enough to make me smile. Probably only one joke made me actually laugh though . . ^_^;;

I would tend to agree that Qbasic is more of a toy than a programming language with real-life application... however, that being said, FREEBASIC, I feel, is! It's like Qbasic... but it's windows(/linux) based and... ya know, it just feels right.
