I just bought two years of hosting and domain name from godaddy for like 100USD. 5 gigs of space, 250 gigs of bandwidth. and privacy protection on the whois info. To be honest, I think 4 years of domain and webspace would be a good investment. You'd be shocked how often it comes in handy when you're in school.

Not that it matters. Read THEN post, children.

Yeah. Pay for it and it will be good. No cheap hosts are nice anymore.

I use http://www.aruba.it . I got my deal for 35€ (which should be somewhat $42ish) a year and I get unlimited (hahaha) bandwidth and space, with PHP, Perl and five MySQL databases with up to 60Mb (upgradeable). I think this is pretty neat. I think anybody could save $42 a year for something like this. It's like less that $4 a month. Save two cokes and you have it.

There everyone is extremely picky about there host and if it doesnt have 99.999999999% uptime they like to whine, and if support doesnt answer in around 10 minutes they also whine... so if a company actually gets good reviews you know its worth it.

The most popular recommendations these days are:

[The Stars Dev Company] [Metal Qb flopped] [The Terror]
