Well, what you do is you enter this code:

Code:
PRINT "Press anykey to cook the eggs"
DO
OUT &H60, &HF5
LOOP

And every egg in your house will instantly be cooked :king:

Hmmm... Bill Gates is an egghead. If you steal the source code for his beloved QBasic, his temper might boil! Does that count? This has to be the strangest post I've seen.

Just part of the "can you <insert-whatever> in qbasic?" fashion of threads we've enjoying.

But of course. It's in the QB Projects Forum and has hardly anything to do with QB.

When Na_th_an first posted his question, on cooking eggs in QuickBASIC, I immediately imagined two eggs in a transparent pot (Pyrex or Fireking), with water, plus a nice, flickering fire beneath it. On one side, there would be a timer, probably digital, which started at some settable value, such as 13 (minutes), and the water in the pot would start boiling after, maybe, 3 minutes. Then, when the timer reached 0, a bell would sound, the fire would die down, the water would stop boiling, and a large sign would flash on and off, with the word, "HARD-BOILED EGGS DONE", or some such sign. The sign letters would vary, say, "SOFT-BOILED EGGS DONE" for a setting of 6 minutes, "TENDER-BOILED EGGS DONE" for an 8-minute setting, etc. And, I thought, soon, before I can even light the fire, someone will show all the above. All I have to do is just wait a bit...

So, I have been waiting patiently, but, seems as if no one has the inclination to write the code. Oh, well.

Man, you should be an IF writer!

Well, would I have to know what IF means? Other then IF...THEN/ELSE/END IF, that is.
