How does Qbasic work with XP

Ok here we go I downloaded your version and i put it in a folder on my desktop, I usually would be using this in highschool so I couldn't find the icon with the hammer so i clicked the blue box. After I exited it because i noticed how small the screen was. I then noticed the icon with the hammer when i clicked on it, it said something to do with the pif file please help me.

OK, so the file with icon art, aka the one with the hammer, was probably a shortcut that was created earlier, and will no longer work because you are in a different file then when it was created. Don’t worry about it.

The small screen can be fixed.

One thing you can do is type

And then press F5 to run. It should go full screen. You can then delete the code that you typed, (screen 12) and write your program. You would have to do this every time though. For a more permanent solution, check this previous topic:

Thanks for the tip. I also found out if you right click on the windowed toolbar it will give you properties to change to full screen

ahh...Just press Alt+Enter to Full screen ANY dos application...
