T-Shirt Design Copyright Questions

So, I designed a T-Shirt for my school's gaming league:



But we have questions about the usage of Gordon in it, since it is a copyrighted character. We aren't planning on selling them or making a profit off them, and the design looks really lame without it.

What do you guys suggest?

I think it looks too copy-paste-ish with Gordon in it, to be honest... But that's not my decision. As for the question, I'm pretty sure it'll be okay as long as you aren't selling them.

if you're selling it for profit, there is always a possibility you'll get in trouble for it. but chances are, nobody will care.
