Quote:But you see, my cousin will fix it then it will be back the way it was before. Could you say that about a windows crash?Yes. Actually, Windows crashes for me (as utterly rare as they are for me, since I know how to play Windows like a violin), give me an opportunity to tweak hardware and replace anything that's gone bad (on the shores of Puerto Rico, such replacements can be often, due to the salty air). Hence...I can recover Windows to a BETTER state than it was in before it crashed.
And you should have already known about multiple partitions. Silly rabbit.

Quote:Bleh, you must know how to use it. Linux is more trustworthy than windows. You must know how to use any operating system. Saying "you must know linux" is a weak argument. You must also know how to use Windows, MacOS, or V2_OS. Windows happens to be my specialty, and I can do things with it that 95% of Windows users don't even know is possible or would never dare trying.
And neither are more trustworthy. In fact, it is far easier for me to rape a Linux install than it is a Windows NT install. I can thrash Windows 98 all day long without remorse and without even trying, but NT is a different story. To thrash a Linux OS, however, is an utter piece of cake, even without root access. And no I won't post how...I don't exactly feel like hearing crap from a bunch of linux zealots who would then have to restore their partitions just coz they didn't believe me when I said that certain things CAN and WILL wank up your OS

I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
