Ok, what background should I use? =P
Aetherfox, why do you have privacy concerns about my dynamic signature? Zap's signature prolly stores your IP and the files uploaded by that IP and it displays your usage on his QH2

My script doesnt even store anybody's IP let alone log anything about it :lol:
Zap, sorry for dragging you're sig into this =P
Ado, /me be a 1337 5(|2|P7 |(||)|)|3 8)

TBBQ, I would have thought you were clever enough to know that barely anyone has a static IP, so that wouldnt work. It is afaik cookie based.

Just because you don't mind doesn't mean no one does.

Heh, it looks like this is the first sig you've ever made. What bg you use is up to you. :wink:

1 looks like a lower case L
3 looks like a backwards E
7 looks sort of like a T
1337 = lEET, an abreviation and misspelling of "elite".
More info here:
Leetspeak
Usually it's a compliment, but sometimes it's used mockingly/sarcastically to describe somebody trying too hard to look like an elite computer wizard/hacker. In context (TBBQ's post), it was used jokingly.
"100|< A7 |\/|3! |\/|y 1337sp33|< 5|<i1z aR3 1337!"
"Look at me! My leetspeak skills are elite!" (ok, maybe not :lol: - it's just an example)

The only thing I don't like is large and distracting signatures. There should be a limit on how big they can be (not filesize, but width and height) and how much they can animate. dark_prevail's signature just takes up too much space on the screen. TheDarkJay's signature is the same but is distracting. I have to scroll it out of the way so I don't have that in my periphreal while I'm reading other people's post. On the other hand, Plasma's signature is perfect for an image signature. It makes its point without taking up a third of the screen and isn't distracting.

Sorry =(
I will probably trade it in for a new sig, smaller and more compact, when find the time to make a new one.

Ye. It checks if there is a cookie from QH2, and if there is it goes to the db and checks your usage. If there isnt it checks if your ip is available, and calculates the size of the files uploaded from that ip (since the chance of two ips dynamically swapped are both using qh2 is kinda small...). So you're both right in a sense.
And yes ofcourse I store a list of IPs... who wouldnt want a huge file of ips? :roll:
*Goes off to sell list to the danish government so they can... what? wtf would anyone DO with a list of IPs? geezz...*
If anyone missed my point, my sig does NOT in anyway store your IP (which is broadcasted on the net anyway), but only checks against the QH2 db if that IP has uploaded any files. So stop bitchin about it.
