Best regards..... Moneo

Hi Moneo. Feels nice to be missed. I've been living outside the QB world for a while - personal struggles, health problems, things like that. I mostly hang at Plasma's & Piptol's forum these days.

I'm still working on a complete site for http://www.thecodepost.com.

Hope you've been well. I'll stop by more often.

Oh, to keep on topic, I know several others who still use QB. My nephew is coding a game in QB right now. He started programmng with QB.

cya later.

- Dav

PS: I finally upgraded to XP. Still use 98se tho, have a swappable HD setup.

QB 7.1 Professional Development System includes numerous tools for working with databases.
......
Other than ISAM, I haven't heard of any other handled by PDS. And ISAM is merely an access method for accessing a particular file structure. It is not by any stretch of the imagination a database handler.

Please see my post in the new "Using data bases in QuickBasic" thread.

Regards..... Moneo

Oh...
Sorry. I don't use it much at all, even less for databases.

Thanks for the update, Dav, and sorry things have not been so good for you lately. Hope things get better soon.

Took a quick look at your "thecodepost" site. Looks promising. I must visit again and perhaps make a post or two.

BTW, what is Plasma's & Piptol's forum?

Regards..... Moneo

No, I'm Russian! Well, I am a citizen of Denmark (as well as aspiring officer), but I am originally from Russia...

As for the ISAM talk and stuff... I do not mean to sound like a douche, and I am feeling uncomfortable with giving you that "please get back to topic" speech, but, well...like Ralph said, please get back to the topic.

So far, we have eight! Smile

PS people: Sorry if I sound so annoyed at times! I'm not! (It's just my weird way of writing)

Yes Pc, we sometimes tend to go off topic.
Example: On guy might post, "Yeah, I write programs in QB to monitor NASA space flights." So then other guys start talking about NASA, or space flights, etc.

Sorry about that.

Regards..... Moneo

There is moments when i open my qb.exe but for some reason, it's pretty hard to make everything work with dosbox. defseg etc. makes it hard since cant get them to work.

I have old laptop here for dos but to be honest, im lazy to open it anymore. Thats why i moved to fb and now im using smallbasic and python since i dont wana use fb anymore.

But if i find some cool source of qb game, ill try it with qb.exe and dosbox combination.
