Heh - I downloaded that QBasic source and I found something funny: the interpreter is build around a library called BQB50.LIB, so maybe QBasic is our lost version 5.0

Actually Toonski, the source [should] compile into an exe. But it's missing a file or two, so the build batch file never creates QBASIC.EXE like it should.

compile, as in "It has the capacity to compile other programs", not "It can't be compiled into an executable".

I just realized why I'll never be able to write ASM routines, or any routines for that matter, faster than currently available ones: My computer is so goddamn fast that I can't tell the difference, even with TIMER!

Well, I had originally made a nitpicking comment related to the meaning of "version", but decided the comment worked against itself. So, I'll just leave the "And I may come to see you for vacation" part of what I originally said. (Got any spare rooms? My parents might be coming too.)
