Well, it was probably ss2 then. Cause I do know that sprite was in that one. As you can see, I'm not much of a SS fan.
EDIT: Now that I look at those pics more, maybe they did redo some more sprites, cause I've noticed that SNK's new art style seems to involve more exaggeratedly clenched teeth.

I am. That game was more popular than street fighter in the roller skating place. I was kicking ass all over the place with the ninja guy.
They look redone becuase there's an awesome focus on detail in the clothing in kyo's sprite that i haven't seen before in any of the kofs that i'ved played, but i could be wrong. SNK artists usually have a history of redrawing sprites each year. If they dont, they usually add frames to it to make it's animation look newer.
I'm in the middle of download ss2 to see if he is in fact redrawn. It's hard to say, kof has recently adopted the samarai showdown style of drawing clothing folds since garou (yes, i'm into this stupid stuff and i care

Oh, okie dokie.
I found out Kim's gonna be in the game too... I think Kim Sue li (if anyone knows who that is) would have been a better choice.
If Megaman makes it though... I'll be just fine. (but then again, Megaman KOF style.... ugh...)

yes, some are reused from KOF. But they are all modified in some way. To be honest, it really doesnt matter to me
. I'm just a graphics nut, I havent seen a Neo-geo machine since I was in grade school playing Samarai Showdown. But I'm in love with the graphics style they use.

Dont blame SNK, blame Capcom and their overexaggerated crew cut in Street Fighter 2 (and the early 90s for making crew cuts and flat tops popular).

I think that's far more ridiculous Charlie's haircut. And to mix bare-hand fighters with samurais is a -very- bad idea (I said that when they announced Haoh for CvsS2, and now... Genjuro?? C'moooon!)
On a positive side... TABASA?!?!? Niiiiiiice! Really nice! I'll surely miss the costume changes, though...
