Sure you’ve heard of Arcade Games in QB, BUT..........

Yes, Nathan's right. It seems like almost every time Adigun posts something, someone has to make some kind of comment. I find that more annoying. This topic has also been dragged way off because of something so dumb.

Adigun, regardless of how absolutely powerful my DSL connection is, those files are kinda huge and I'm not sure I'd want to download even the smaller one. Could you please tell us what they're about?

To Megaman:

Now that you have asked me that, this is a tough question for me to answer to you in proper context, but here goes nothing! Wink

In case you are talking about the two videos that I must have already showed you from the top of my original post, all I can honestly say here is that if you have a slower connection or if you have some real trouble connecting to the larger video, choose the smaller-screen, low-bandwidth version. But for much higher connections (such as Cable or DSL), I’d try the bigger-screen, high-bandwidth version. I tested out both versions using a Cable-based internet connection, and I am *MOST* pleased to say that both of them do work fine, with the low-bandwidth version _well_ worth recommending!! Wink

And, in case you are talking about many of the files in the “QuickBASIC Caliber Programming Compo”, they are actually the games that you can download for free, to *inspire* you to enter my compo upon your own choosing and to create your ORIGINAL QuickBASIC-based game like it has never been done before! And, such excellent, quick download examples that don’t take all that long to download are:

• Micropede (Version 1.40)
• Vulgus (Version 1.0 for PC/PDA)
• PC*Bert (Version 1.01)

Also, such web-based games like “Gold Leaf”, “Area Flat 3”, “Swivel Sweep”, “Galaxa”,and “Ping Pong Ponta” do not take anywhere even near as long to load up (provided that you are online and connected to the Internet).

And, I do not know what the EXACT problem is on the download speed of my site so far. :*( To tell you the absolute truth, the download speed was much, MUCH faster at one time or another, and it needs to be just as faster again. So, I will get to the very bottom of this situation and be sure that the site and download speeds on the AAP Official Homepage are faster than ever!! Wink So, wait and see.

Megaman, I so *deeply* thank you and Na_th_an so righteously much for your real heartfelt concern and compassion! See ‘ya later!! Big Grin !

Where did that MIRV go? (you're not hiding well enough Wink)

Here, download this, it's over 1 meg but worth it: http://qbnz.com/pages/downloads/action/ghinirun.exe

Don't worry about it being an exe, it's a self-extracting zip.

Heh, GhiniRun, I've played (and they say QB is dead!), but I've never actually played one with coins, so to speak...
