I thought I did a very thorough study of QB's past, yet i've never heard of subshock. :lol: Nor did I ever hear of Leroy. However, Pasco is a very familiar name to me. I remember studying alot of his code in awe back then. (mostly because most of it was pure qb, and I was one of those stupid purists back then. :lol: ) I was really impressed with his world soccer demo back then, and it still is impressive. I remember tearing apart his QBV sprite routine to see what made it tick back then. Back when I had a drive for the pursuit of knowledge.

v1c and Pas we're way ahead of their time.

At that time v1ctor made DSOCK(a very low latency DOS networking thingy) and Pasco the Engine. But Leroy somehow managed to be pissed by the release of Dosck which in any case v1ctor was entitled to release.

It was like the "battle of the titans" back then.

Me neither. Never heard of any of this. Sad to say it's all gone though. In a sense, the original QB community is long-gone and are all doing other stuff these days.

Back in the old days, in which I was never a forum participant, there was all kindsa stuff going on. All sorts of libs, engines, an active QBNZ lolz . . .
