Quote:hehehe wc, phpBB is always full of exploits. hence why I tend to favor invision board.
The last serious bug was a few months ago, and there's been nothing since. Get phpBB! (I would say that, I'm making a phpBB mod
)

Invision is more stable, but I've had some problems with some of the bugs in it as well. phpBB is more of a biatch to modify though. It's funny...the more secure you try to make something, the more exploits it seems to have.

That's cos normally you're adding more features at the same time
I have no problems modifying phpBB... it's the templating system that is so cool, even though it may seem complicated. You can do
anything with the template...

Flexibility = details = work = more things to fsck up = sorry I go elsewhere
And don't ever use a WIP phpBB. Just don't do it. Ever. I will burn you alive if you do.

phpbb is the most inflexible peice of crap template I've ever seen! How can you say that, Oracle? All you can do is change out images and CSS, you can't do anything with the layout at all! You can pick a phpbb out anywhere because they all look the same.

You've gotta be kidding, toonsk...
Go into overall_header.tpl and screw everything up, then see what happens.
In fact, give me a diagram of what you would like a phpBB to look like and I'll make it for ya
It's all about working out how it works, then having a bit of practice.
