For anyone who's ever seen Andre LaMothe's "Warlock" engine...when the doors open, they stay gone Big Grin pretty cool actually...but that engine...wow, running it on a P100 is insane, let alone on a 2 or 3GHz machine...on my P233, it must run through the 1000 step demo loop in 3 seconds...very higly optimized Big Grin
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

Imagine:
Max payne 2
I open door, shoot, strafe right
I want to strafe left, shoot, then hide again
But this stupid stupid door automatically closes!!!
And where you seen automatically closing wooden door?
Or somebody sit down there and turn it?
I don't know, maybe the 3D game developers (almost all) want to isolate rooms and render less objects?
