Why not... DEF SEG using no arguments sets the segment pointer to QB's. Smile

TBBQ: You're absolutely right! Big Grin

Try using a low DEF SEG value if you want some vague results (computer crash/reboot perhaps... Win9x only).

well the suddenly crashes of the dos-window, corrupted data etc.

No matter however no. of times you rewrite your code it wont matter cuz you dont know what you are doing wrong.
