I need a simple board
#1
Does anyone know of a very simple board that I can use for The Geekery..that's free, done in php, and assumes no advanced knowledge of mySQL or php?

No...simpler than that. Just Post Message, Reply, and View Message. No login. No Password.

I know nothing about web programming but to clarify:
You want a tagboard?

1) PHP -> write to a flat-file and include the flat-file in the page :| (exactly what a tagboard is)

2) http://www.minibb.net/ - is a good, tiny board.

3) You can always allow guest posts in PHPBB also.

4) Set-up a GUESTBOOK. Those have simple, messageboard style features without a login requirement.

And last note, I thought The Geekery was dead ;D

You can also try UPB. It is so easy to set up that you won't believe it. It doesn't even require MySQL. You can see how it works here: http://usuarios.lycos.es/qbsux/forum/index.php

Potato: Thanks. I'll check it out. The Geekery is dead, yes...but it's being ressurected.
Nath: Sounds promising, thanks.
[EDIT]Easy? I uploaded it, ran it, and the installer page just comes up with a bunch of php errors.[/EDIT]

Check out SephForum...that's what Josiah has over at ultimateqb.com. It's very easy to use, although I never could get autolinking to work. Don't know where you can download it now though, because Seph's site is gone once again...
