Quote:3) I've been told (by PJ, props, dude, you made me jealous ) that it comes with three books on C++. Are they any good?
Heheh. Well, the one I have is a different version. Maybe not a different version of C++, but a different package called "Learn Visual C++" or something like that. I have to get home and see... But it comes with Visual Studio Library with a few examples, and a few games as well.
Don't take any of that in stone just yet, though. I have to check it out when I get back home, I may have gotten some of my CDs mixed up or something.

It is Windows XP and Windows Blinds
Macs are great for gfx and music. If I could afford one, I'd buy one.

:o Windows Blinds...hmm...
Macs are useful for a single thing: multimedia. Otherwise, Macs simply...are idiotic.

I don't think Macs are idiotic. After all, Windows is a copy of MacOS. So you are using something that was ripped off those idiotic Macs.
Why do you say Macs are idiotic? for the same reason that TBBQ says Java is unclean?

Read up a bit...he says he's using a "Windows Blinds" which I assume is just some skin for Windows...
Anyway, we're wavering from the main topic a bit, but here, I'll just plug my two cents in about Macs...
My main problem is that they don't exactly make friends with the programmer/person who just wants to know how it works, and control it. Everything is predefined, and not meant to be changed. I can't talk too much, because I don't have very much expirience with Macs, but that's just my outlook on them.

From my small amount of programming experience on the Mac, I can say that it's not quite that restrictive. It's just not as "free" feeling as the PC is. You have different resources to be aware of and obviously the APIs are different. But in reality, it's just coding not unlike any other kind
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
