do you know which video cards support translucent polygons in OpenGL?

Geforce 4 and Radeon 7000 do, but some cheap integrated video cards do not.

well, when I get back to school, I have a cheap integrated card i'd be glad to test with! but if a card doesnt have a 3d chip on it, I'm not sure how it'll fare in general.

BTW Future.Lib works on my Radeon 7000 =).

the future.lib worked with both radeons and geforces, but the framerates were choppy.

with cheap videocard, you'll propably see black boxes around the particles and explosions.

here's the very demo, requires atleast 1280*1024 resolution. (tested the maximum windows size!)

if the card doesn't have 3d acceleration, the game will be slow as hell, obviously. I just tested it with 266hmz with an old matrox videocard.

It looks nice... but a bit boring so far... Also, how do you fire back?

right shift.

it has no mission objectives so far (basically no game at all Sad ), it has just the basic AI and vector based motion algorithms.

and the game will have some 3d-parts, where you fly in tunnels and the camera is chasing you.

and intensive boss fights :king:
