Paradoxes! (this will be fun)

You're too funny, Z!re ;P

Im not actually sure about all that stuff. I just studied about all this stuff to do with E = MC^2 and things like that.

Aparently, as the speed gets closer to the sped of light, TAU tends towards inifnity. As in 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
9999. etc

I think kind of like TAN. But anyway,

Mass = original mass * tau

Length = Original length * tau

Time = original time * tau (or something like that, because time slows down as it reaches light speed =P)

Thats what I learnt, although it doesnt seem to apply to photons. Or stuff. =P

1) Why, ohh why, would something gain mass just because it increases in speed?

2) Why, ohh why would something be longer just because it increases in speed?

3) Why, ohh why would time pass slower just because something increase in speed?

1) Do you think a racecar driver is heavier than the average human?

2) Is he longer?

3) Does he live longer (Time passes slower, so given he has no accident he should live longer than the average human)

Feel free to replace racecardriver with fighterpilot or whatever, snail?

I don't know about Tachyons, I am not in any way related to the governments secret weapons program working on Tachyon based weapons, ohh no sir, not me..... err you didn't imply that?... forget what I said.

If my memory don't fail me completely, Tachyon beams (rays?) move at Warp 10 or something (10x the speed of light) but this varies, I've heard Warp 8 and Warp 16 too... Thats the problem with Sci-Fi, not really sure whats the "real" thing, as there is no such thing (it is Sci-FIction)

I know it doesn't make much sense to not be an ass, but please try. These kind of statements are flamebait, and no one wants to see that garbage. In addition, these questions are silly, so I felt it was alright to give a few silly answers.

As for the time thingo...sorry people, but time is not a dimension, nor a means for travel. It is a unit of measurement. It is abstract and has no physical form.

As for the mobius strip thing...thinking that over, I'd have to say that if you were to poke a hole in a mobius strip, you'd simply have a mobius strip with two holes in it. Big Grin
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

Waaa! I dont know!!?!? I didnt write the book. Unfortuantely. Then I would have made some money... mmm.... $$$ money....

i know!!!!
1a. gravity... faster you go more Gs you have.
2a. please restate the question
3a. gravity... more gravity slower time. (see 1a)
1b. doesn't work that way
2b. doesn't work that way either
3b. hmm, apparently yes. but ever so slightly no one would notice

1a, NO... The higher the acceleration the more G's... A Car traveling at the constant speed of 50kmh does NOT weight more than a car standing still. You know this, if you sit in a car, accelerating you are pushed against the back of the seat, but when the car "levels out" or gain a "constant" (it isn't realy constant, but we'll say so for this example) speed you regain your normal position in the seat.

2a. What did you not understand? It has been said that the faster you travel the longer you get (you gain lenght, you stretch) Thus a spacerocket would get logner and longer the higher it traveled (the more speed it gained). Also, wouldnt this mean that an astronaut would stretch?

3a. Errr... no... says who?, and why would it be like that?

1b, It doesent? But you just said more speed = more mass= more weight. Please explain, or is this another "It only works on light you dumbass" things? Light=Particles moving fast, or is it Waves? whatever you say there is a hole, a big hole.

2b. Ohh... ok.... How does it work?

3b. Astronauts live longer than the average human. (not, they have all died "young" 3-4 years below average, yes there are exceptions)

Anyone, is it "lightwaves" or "light particles"?
Waves=The can't be blocked because they contain infinite power thus penetrating everything so shadows would be impossible.

Particles=InfinitePower=Infinite mass=Total destruction wherever they hit.

As I said before, nobody really knows how exactly light works, or what it is made up of. Scientists use both definitions, (particles and waves) to describe light in different situations. At the moment I am studying light in the form of waves, using Interference patterns (quite interesting actually). But light on other occasions can only be described as Particles due to its strange behaviour.
