I'm afraid I don't agree with my government on this one... we've sent engineers to help rebuild, I think we should have sent nothing. The only reason we sent those engineers is because Australia got a free trade deal with the US and our PM wants one too... not very likely, after she said that the US would have been better off if Al Gore was president...

If somecountry attacked Canada (example) or even threatened to atack do you not think that the US would not strike back in efforts to protect.

I apploud Tony Blair . If all countries would take a stand then we would have not seen the trouble we have seen.
When a country has terroist in their own country & don't get rid of them then their asking for trouble.

Canada was involved also.. I think it's great when countries see that their is a threat out there & they take out this threat.

While the USA was starting its thoughts after the 9,11 attack in New York Plains were sent from Canada with Canadians fling them to help protect the eastern sea board of USA
After the war broke out Canada agreed with the USA & still protected the Eastern sea board of America it also has alot of efforts in the (Boarders of the USA) Canada did help in the decision of war they voted along with the American Goverment as well.

All countries should show their support for Iraq & help build a peacefull country for the Iraqi pepole. They should not turn their backs on a country in need or it will come back on them..

Of course, but read carefully my post. I said "if the U.N. doesn't take care of the rebuilding". That is, Spanish troops will be there under blue berets and working for the U.N., not for the U.S.A..

My tax dollars along with the rest of the US is going to help.

1 Iraq helped accomodare terroist under power from sadam
2 Iraq was a threat to all countries near its boarders
3 US & Britian & countless others elliminated the threat
4 Everyone ridicules the involvement of the US

Uh Bluffer.....where did you get your info from? Because the Iraqis didnt destroy the WTCs. And it prolly wasnt the Al-Qaida either, considering they would only take responsibility for one plane, but not for both. If they had done it they would have fanfared it to the world. Also, Iraq has not destroyed half the world with any WMD. Firstly, there arent any there. Secondly, besides the fighting that has always occured in the Middle East since the beginning of time, Iraq had never attacked another country outside of Arabia. Iraq has no substansial military power. Its only true power is its oil supply, which is now conviniently in the hands of the US.

when 80% of the world said NO to the war. The US, with it's cowboy diplomacy and Bush pissing everyone off, decided it was going to Iraq. How is the US defending itself and protecting its people when it is attacking another country?

As for where tax dollars should go, instead of using it to go to war and rebuilding another country, how about.......i dont know......funding education, healthcare, creating jobs, you know....the things the US needs. The US has this little thing about saving the world when its own economy and nation is sliding quietly into the gutter. Before saving the starving children of other nations, how about saving its own?
