Erm, well personally i didnt really like either of the two games, soul reaver 2 and 1 both were boring as hell, and oni i beat, but only becuase i was on one of those i must beat everygame i own streaks. I mean if the show big large mechs in the early stages, the least they could do is in the game let me fight one!

Now my list:

Doom(Pick your emulator, jdoom, legacy doom, and it got online support with up to 32 players with em Smile Pick up the doom connector too)
Any Doom wads.
Half-life(after this you have infinite number of free mods)
Civilization 3
Starcraft
Monkey islands..
Unreal Tournament, and 2003 (both kick ass, the new one lags though unless youuve got a p4 80000000000 ghz, and a radeon 10 million)
Sim City, But ONLY NUMBER 2, 3 just sucked
Wolfenstien
Tyrian
Ultimas. 7, underworlds(if you can run em)

Quote:Quake
Okay the game was cool, i admit (i loved the sidestepping animation) but the animation was terrible, it was one of the first polygonal shooters, but you can tell to.... quake 2 looks sweet though.

Hmm, I reckon:

Street Fighter 2 (or Alpha 2, 3) (PS/Saturn/Arcade) - Been playing this series for over 10 years now, still kicks the crap outta any of these poncey 3D fighting 'games' Wink

Dungeon Siege - contender for one of the best/most addictive games ever, if it wasn't for the limp-wristed plot. I regularly played through to 7am :o

Warcraft.. 3? Very nice game, great story, just didn't *grab* me like the earlier ones did.

Streets of Rage 2 (Meagdrive)- *Bare knuckle* - yeah!

Screamer 2 - First game I bought for my first PC - loved it!

Lazer Squad (Amstrad CPC) - the grand-daddy of all turn based strategy games

Way of the Exploding Fist (CPC) - perhaps the evolutionary parent of all 1 v 1 fighters? Still plays well today

Games that changed my life (although not all are good..)
-Outrun
-Gauntlet
-Golden Axe
-SF2

Notice a complete absence of 'Zelda' style stuff... the NES was never really that big over here, so that genre passed most Brits by. Sega was king Wink

1) Empire Earth

2) Age of Mythology, Civilization III
note that Age of Mythology, Civilization III wear out quickly (AoM: 2 weeks, Civ III: 3 months). If you have a fast computer (triple recommended specs) then Civ III might last more.

3) Rise of Nations is looking good (haven't played it, though)

4) Simcity 3000, and Simcity4 (haven't played sc4 though, but it looks awesome, even better than sc3000)

Note that AoM and Empire Earth game life can be extended 2 or 3x by thoroughly mixing with other games and by generous multiplayer gaming.
