Yeah. I've noticed about 60 seconds of downtime in 3 months. Damn good.

Welcome back Ninkazu. I was hoping you would return, Ive been getting into In Flames recently after hearing Trigger on the Freddy vs Jason album. Apologies for rubishing Moonshield when you posted it, it took me a few listens to really get into them, but now Im hooked.
Grab yourself a couple of 8 Foot Sativa (NZ metal band) tracks when you get a chance, Fuel Set and Destined to be Dead are good starting points.

Java has some annoying problems, but the newer releases (1.4 and 1.5) are slowly adding some great features such as generics and MVC gui design.

GAH! You picked the wrong stuff. They went total mallcore with Reroute to Remain and after that.
If you liked Jester Race, check out Whoracle or Colony.
Great bands to listen to:
Blind Guardian (My personal favorite. They're not super heavy black metal, but their lyrics are out of this world. I mean... Dungeons & Dragons AND metal? [power metal] What could be better?)
Evergrey (just saw these guys in concert with Children of Bodom and Iced Earth. Good stuff [power metal] I bought their shirt)
Amon Amarth (this is the heavy stuff. Great great GREAT Death metal band)
am an asshole. Get used to it.

I've read all the "In Flames went nu-metal with Reroute to Remain" and so on, but I like what I have heard from it, its just different to their older stuff. Bands cop of lot of abuse for trying to change their styles, with fans all complaining that the band has sold out, etc. I haven't managed to get hold of an album yet (poor student at the moment ;-)), so Im just listening to individual songs.
I'll have a listen to the other bands you mentioned, you gotta tell me what you think of Sativa though.

Cradle of Filth is okay if you have the superhuman ability to not hear the lyrics. Great music, SHITTY vocals.
Want good black metal? Check out Gorgoroth, Emperor, and Dissection (and Immortal).

Emperor and Dissection are my faves...as if anyone couldn't tell from my full nickname (Necros Ihsan Nodtveidt). Ihsan (leader of Emperor) did the smart thing: break up the band at the height of their popularity, rather than after they sucked so bad they had no choice. As for Jon Nodtveidt (leader of Dissection)...I heard he's out of jail now and has started up another band...

It's not another band - it's still Dissection. They're working on a new album right now
