Commercial royalty free icons

Most icons that you find on the internet aren't public domain, unfortunately. Sad
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

Quote:Wait, icons aren't free? I've been using Word's for my wysiwyg editor, so does the Midas demo, I don't see where I could get in trouble for pirating a little 21x21 16-icon. Do they even have copyrights on those?

I tried to do something similar for emoticons waay back last summer. I whipped up http://betterwebber.com/smilies , but never took it any furthor. If you want, though, I can dig around my computer backups for the smiley sets I had for that site. It's not a promise as to whether I'll find any, and I can't do it for another week.

Nope Microsoft icons are not free, http://www.microsoft.com/permission/copy....htm#Icons
Do you mean the midas demo from Delphi? They use there own icons, that can be found in "program files/common/borland shared".
You can buy icons from the internet but they all cost like 150,- or more, that's the reason why I started the site.

Quote:Wow! Those look pretty nice. What image creation tool do you use?
Mostly ps, I got a animation prog for animated gif's... But I think paintshop pro would be good too. For vector images you could use adobe illustrator.

Just so you know, i cant view the images on the index page. Im using Firefox, but it works ok in IE when I try that. Apart from that, good work, you're making good progress. Maybe you should start a few new sets though.

Oh, you mean THOSE icons (IE, Outlook, Office, etc.). Nah, I'm talking about that little icon that you click to 'open', 'save', etc. Yeah, I'm sure the other icons are copyrighted. They're never going to care about the little generic ones... Hell, don't they even supply those icons with VB? (mind you, I haven't owned a version since 4.0).
