I was just wondering if there is a way to insert bitmaps into a program? Thanks.
And what are the best graphic and sprite editors out there? and is there any tile-based editors to? Thanks

To insert bitmaps, you need a bitmap loader. There are plenty floating around, I think I've got a few at
QBNZ.
In terms of sprite editors, well the best one made in QuickBASIC is PP256. But if you're not worried about it being QB then I think Nath suggests Deulux paint III - I think he's got a download of it somewhere too.

Thanks for the reply, but sorry I wasn't being clear enough. I mean, I am trying to create a tile editor program that prompts the user for a .bmp file, so they can insert the tile in one of the slots.
Cheers for help
