whitetiger, simply insert all the ips that view your pic. Then run a 'select distinct' query on your table and you'll get the no. of unique visitors =P.

wt's way is space saving for the db. and keeps it cleaner, althoughb there is nothing from with TBBQ's suggestion, after all, my IP log keeps every IP which visits, even non-unique ones.

Nothing wrong with what you do. It's just that you can't(Read as difficult or gets messy) store info about each visit of the ip(Look below, you answered your own question =P). But if you just want to keep a record of number of visits of each ip to your site your method is just fine. But think again, if you want some stats on your website then "no of visit/per unit time" is important and not just the number of visits :wink:

I posted this to Challenge section too, but script cshallenge is over and ... well only I took part of it

Anyway here's the final version (0.8j) of script engine.

It also have source so be free to give me constructive criticism.
I think I'll start working on a new script engine, what would be purely coded for speed. Probably bytecoded.

What's new:
Double variable support, TIMER(so it is possible to measure "speed" of the script lang, and some other smaller updates.
