Patience, grasshopper. One cannot rush a delicate work of art. Wink Okay...truth be told, I'm a bit busy right now so it's gonna take awhile. Big Grin

maybe sourceforge.net -- but I am sure someone can tell you.
Like what Antoni Gual has said, QB' IDE is not only an IDE but also a debugger, and that makes QB more user-friendly than FBC. For a pure editor+executer, UltraEdit, EditPlus and SciTE are all good choices at least for me.

I take your point , but the Von's IDE does have syntax error trapping - and for someone ( who like me) is not familiar with either command line coding or sdl -- I think it is useful ---
a) it allows text highlighting
b) Direct viewing of the FB docs and libraries
c) it's use does not preclude editing in something else so long as you are aware of the differencies.
d) personally I have never used a de-bugger ever ( syntax correction all the time -- either due to spelling or misunderstanding ).
e) if I really wish to de-bug something , I find it just as easy to set my own traps , print out whatever data I want , because no-one knows my program intent better than me.
I find that people have different styles -- it's a bit like 'art' there is little point in telling an acrylic artist to change to oils. It's better (in my opinion ) just to say oils exist -- if your interested then try it.
f) Lastly FB and FBIDES are in their infancy ( assuming they exist for a long time ) so we cannot expect too much -- I would rather just explore what they have to offer rather than making direct comparisons .
I have used QB for many many years , I welcome the change and wish all those working on this project the best of luck.
Ray.
