whee, i found the missing files, in fact i forgot to copy them from the wx.NET directory to /usr/lib... anyway, i got the minimal example working under linux, only problem is that the linux port doesn't seem to support wxStyledTextCtrl, aka scintilla text component, so half the things i've written won't compile under linux...

here's the latest version of wxfbirc, i added a logout menu option and a save menu option which saves the current chat window for you.

features (not necessarily new):
-tabbed chatting - easily talk in multiple rooms
-name coloring & timestamping
-gui
-really cool initial splash screen
-connect to a different server without restarting the program
-save chat transcripts (not colored)
