Qbasic and XP again!!!

Seriously, this is getting old. I have no idea what you guys are talking about. qb 4.5, pds 7.1, vbdos 1.0, works perfectly in xp dos box, as 2k, as win9x. Now, i dunno who started this myth, but i'm betting it was someone who didn't know how to turn on ems and xms under xp.
If you elaborate, i'm sure your problem can be solved.

qb does work (at least under my sony xp that i had a while ago). But it is slow and that 2.6ghz should be at least 20 times faster than my 400mhz pentium II win'98. But it is only 10x faster.

Actually, if you're going to count like that. It should only be 6.5 times faster. And it doesn't work like that, and i don't feel like giving you a course in cpu architecture. Just take my word for it, it doesn't work like that. And it has nothing to do with qb. Also, P4 suxs. It will only run decently on 32 bit codes optimized for it. And 16 bit code, barely runs on it.
XP will run your programs just as fast as dos. So stop this myth, you have to have a fairly decent understanding on how cpus and OSes work to make a statement like that. And if one did, one would understand that this whole rant is wrong.
