So I got my first radio...
#1
It's the almighty handheld Icom IC-T90A. Finally picked it up yesterday. Big Grin
After trying it out (it was half-charged out of the box), I immediately fell in love with it once I iniated my first contact on the air. I talked to VE3RTT and VE3ZYZ, I believe, although I can't quite remember. Nerve-wracking at first, for some strange reason.
Here's the radio specs if it means anything to anyone...

Well, for regional contacts (within your city/region), it's very casual. I talked yesterday with VE3RTT about how I just got my license, first radio, how do I sound, etc.
I heard people talking about traffic, weather, cars, and OF COURSE about the amateur radio hobby. Anything goes, as long as it isn't too sensitive a topic, and it's relatively polite. Rather like the General section of a forum. Smile

I had already thought of that, but talking on a forum usually is a result of people brought together by a common topic, (in this case BASIC)
