I need some ideas about the development of my new FB compo.

To Richard Eric M. Lope (Relsoft):

Even though I have never at all experimented with OpenGL programming in FB as of yet, you are pretty much right on the mark with that reply of yours here. I mean now, OpenGL is capable of some very fast and *truly* amazing landscapes and 3D and then some, especially on higher-powered computers as well! And the sheer beauty of it is that it apparently is all being done in hardware, which is a big-time plus where OpenGL is concerned!! Big Grin With pure software though, the same thing can technically be achieved, but with much more lines indeed (and in at least rare to some cases, even as slow as treacle, too! Sad ).

And keeping within this thread, my man, since I will provide NO categories in my new compo, I will instead be providing a single theme for it here. So then, watch for OpenGL to be involved in one of my themes for one of my installments of the FreeBASIC Ultimate Demo Compo, Rel. Just watch for it now! Wink

Thank you so much for your fine reply here, and check you out again!! Cool

Great job on the new rules, Adigun!

It's a huge improvement over the previous rules you sent me to look at a few days ago. Smile I'm glad you took my advice. Instead of four pages of unnecessary rules, now you cut right to the chase and got it done in a single page of very reasonable rules.

Hopefully your compo will be a big success! Make sure you send me something about it to run in the next QB Express issue. (Deadline: May 25th)

To Pete once more:

Hey, I thank you, THANK YOU I say!!! Big Grin ! I am *so* glad on what you just said about my new rules, my man Pete!!

And also, about my new compo, look please, I am getting right on down to some dead-serious business on getting it all finished and started on the web before the deadline hits. Wait and see. Wink=b

In the closing of this post, I would like to say thank you as well for actually rooting for this new compo to become a definite success rather than for it to just join in with my previous big-time compo flops, you know? Cool

Well, be seeing you once again, and it is so great to have you in this thread, man!!! Big Grin !
