I am terribly sorry for the confusion, that's my fault. In DOS you can still use statically linked libraries, and the dos version of freebasic comes packaged with one for allegro.

You should just be able to type in
#include "allegro.bi"

and start using functions. Unless there's some wierd thing about FreeBasic dos I don't know about.

Also, just to make sure (don't be insulted Smile ) - did you download and use the DOS fbc package (not the Win32 one - which is the one that comes with the prepackaged FBIde download)?
