Quote:What features would you want to see in a DOS IDE?
ALL the features of the QuickBasic 7.1O and would be the best if that IDE would be like the Visual Basic for DOS <<--
that's what i thought that would be the FB when experts began working on it but it has become mostly just another Visual Basic
that's the way that i think

Well, you'll never get edit-and-continue; that would require some dark M$ voodoo magic...
Besides that, everything you see in PDS or VB DOS would be potentially possible. I never really liked any of the QB IDEs, so I probably won't be writing an IDE like that. I don't really understand what you mean by "it has become mostly just another Visual Basic" - it's really nothing like VB in any respect except that it has the word 'basic' in its name...

sure is, in fact i think fb is the best qb-compatible basic there is (aside from qb/vbdos
), i know someone who was having a hell of a time trying to convert their qb prog into a commercial basic, i just threw the prog at fb, the only changes i had to make were adding defsng a-z at the top and commenting out the lprints, after that it worked perfectly...
